No. Clear Creek is a Bible college. We offer accredited bachelor and associate degrees, as well as certificates in ministry. It is our goal to provide you with an education that will thoroughly equip you for ministry and prepare you for a seminary graduate degree.

Yes. Our dual-enrollment program allows you to take classes (on campus or online) beginning your junior year in high school. Acceptance in the dual-enrollment program depends on your current grades. If you qualify, you will be permitted up to nine credit hours per semester.

No. We accept home school students without requiring a GED. You simply need to provide some type of transcript of your work through your high school-level studies. Your transcripts and schooling need to be in accordance with the laws of the state where you live.

Clear Creek is dedicated to teaching scripture and practical ministry. Our professors use a combination of lecture, audio/visual presentation, class-participation, and hands-on training.

We strive to maintain a professional atmosphere, so we require professional dress. Our Student Handbook contains our dress code policy for men and women. Men are expected to wear a respectable choice in pants and shirt. We do require that the shirt have a collar, and be at least a polo-style shirt. The women are expected to dress in the common expectation for church. Dresses are not required, but dress slacks, shoes, and a modest blouse are expected.

On campus we have our Family Life and Conference Center which has a gymnasium for volleyball, basketball, and roller skating. The FLC also has a swimming pool and weight room. At Kelly Hall we have a recreation room for students to hang-out together (men and women until 11:00pm, men only after 11:00pm) and play pool, ping-pong, or watch television. In Middlesoboro, Ky (approx. 12 miles away) there is a discounted movie theater which shows new releases, a mall, restaurants, and other venues. Also in both Middlesboro and Pineville there are nature trails for hiking, and the beautiful Cumberland Gap National Park in Cumberland Gap, TN is open to the public.

Clear Creek does not actively provide placement services. Instead, we pass along any available opportunities made known to us. You may ask to be placed on a supply preaching list or a mailing list of current positions that are known to be open.

The sooner you hand-in your information the better-off you are. We always attempt to accommodate any time schedule, but we make no guarantees that a last-minute request will be granted. Of course, we cannot accept you as a student until all qualifications are met. But, if you hand-in your information ahead of time, it makes the acceptance process that much quicker when you do qualify.

You can either call us at (866) 340-3196 or you can schedule a visit online.

Academics FAQ

Yes, but you have to have special permission from the academic dean and your academic advisor.

If you fail a course, you will have an opportunity to re-take the course and the higher of the two scores will prevail.

You can drop a class at any time. If you drop a class before the mid-term point of the class, you will receive a WP (withdraw passing). If you drop after the mid-term point, but before nine weeks, you will receive a WF (withdraw failing). Dropping a class after the nine week mark will result in a failing grade. A WP or WF does not affect your GPA.

Please see the Academic Calendar in Academic Resources page.

When you register for classes for the first time, we require that you sit down with your advisor when selecting your courses. Your advisor will register you for classes on your behalf. After the first semester, you will be able to register through Sonis Web.

At this time we do not have a means by which you can makeup classes using our online campus. Please review the absence policy in the Academic Catalog, or the Student Handbook.

Yes. Many of our students are enrolled in both online and campus classes. However, in order to live on campus, the majority of your full-time enrollment must be in campus classes. Special exceptions are sometimes granted, but must be approved by the academic dean and the housing director.

Yes. Chapel is required for all students. We record our chapels and make them available on iTunesU. If you are scheduled for on campus classes on Tuesday or Thursday, you are expected to attend chapel in person. However, if your classes do not begin until later in the afternoon, or you are an online student, you may watch or listen, to the latest available chapel on iTunesU and fill out a chapel report.

Yes. Clear Creek offers tutoring through our Christian Service office. You can speak with the Director of Christian Service if you need assistance.

Clear Creek does not bestow Latin honors, however, students graduating with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are recognized as graduating “with honors”. In addition, if you complete any semester with a 3.5 or above for that semester, you will be recognized on the Dean’s List. If you use multiple e-mail accounts, or have a Facebook or Google account, try logging in with the associate e-mail addresses.

Yes, Clear Creek Baptist Bible College accepts transfer credit from other accredited colleges. A full description of the conditions and restrictions may be found in the college catalog under “Academic Policies.” The college Registrar determines transfer credit.

Students FAQ

Sonis is our student information system. It allows you to register for classes and review your grades. You can logon to Sonis through Inside Clear Creek's page. For further information, or instructions, contact the academics office.

Most of the time, that will be dependent on your situation. Here's how you find out for sure:
1. Visit the cashier at the business office and get a copy of your printed statement of account.
2. Take your printed statement of account to financial aid for them to approve the purchase of books on your account.
3. Take the form back to the business office so they can photocopy it for you to take to the book store.
If you follow this procedure, you will find the process of buying books much simpler.

Yes, Logos is a required tool. In some classes, your assignments will be dependent upon your use of Logos. In addition, we feel that Logos is an invaluable tool for those who are in positions of ministry.

Your student ID doubles as your library card, so you will need to see the staff in the Library.

Class meetings are twice per semester and they occur in place of chapel. When you do not attend your class meetings, you are considered absent for that chapel date.

We do not mail 1098-T forms. Your 1098-T is available for download or print from the Sonis system. They are available after February 14th.

Yes, family members can go to the Library where they can checkout a laptop.

No. It is against the I.T. policy to allow other people to login with your credentials. When logged-in as you, electronic signatures and other authorizations that are made are considered legally binding. This puts you at risk, as well as holding you accountable for any actions performed with your login account.

Yes, Clear Creek does have a Clery Act policy in place. You can read about the Cleary Act, and Clear Creek's response to it in our Cleary Act Policy Document.
