The Christian Service Director seeks to accomplish the task of orienting all new students to the role of ministry. This task is accomplished through introductory ministry courses and through the placement of students in intern or regular staff positions in churches. The basic goal is to discover the student’s God-given gifts and assist them with the development of those gifts. To graduate, every student must achieve acceptable participation in his Christian service responsibilities.
Initial Christian Service Assignment
Every student is assigned a ministry opportunity on campus or related organization. This yearlong assignment must be completed during the student’s first year of enrollment.
Supervised Internship
Every student must participate in a yearlong internship in the student’s second year of enrollment in a church or institution selected under the direction of the Christian Service Director. This internship must conform to the guidelines established by the Christian Service Office.

Christian Service Report Procedure
During every semester enrolled, every student must submit a weekly report of all ministry-related activities. Students are required to turn in an annual “Affirmation of Involvement” form signed by their pastor before matriculating for the Fall semester. Information related to filling out the online survey can be found in the Christian Service Guidance handbook.
